What we do
- We publish and transcreate books, beginning with The First Heart.
- We gather people from around the world in Antalya every March.
- We prepare the Mrs. Khadija Declaration and the Mrs. Khadija Awards.
- We build programs for women, give water through wells, and make films for the world.
One goal, and the means to reach it
Neither the Foundation nor any single book is the goal. They are the means. The goal is a better human society, reached by empowering women, with the life of The Honorable Mrs. Khadija as the example.
For every person
MKF speaks to all of humanity. Mrs. Khadija is a role model for every person who cares about the place of women in the world, whatever their faith or culture.
A historical figure
We present Mrs. Khadija as a woman of history: a businesswoman, a wife, a mother and a leader whose life still speaks to our time.
Civic and independent
MKF works in civic language. It is independent of every government, and it works with everyone who shares its goal.
Through women, for society
When a woman is given strength, dignity and the means to succeed, a family, a community and a society grow with her.

Strength · Dignity · Love · Success. The four words of The First Heart describe the life we hold up as an example, and they guide everything MKF says and does.
Everything MKF does serves this one goal: the books we publish and transcreate, the people we gather each year in Antalya, the declaration we will sign together, the awards we will give, and the programs that will touch the lives of women.
